Welcome to Israel!  We will proceed through the airport as a group and meet our guide who will take us to our bus. Explore the ancient sea port of Joppa, where Peter received a vision in Acts 10.  See Caesarea Maritime, the headquarters of the Roman Empire in Israel and home Pontius Pilate, Cornelius, Felix the Governor, and where Paul was imprisoned for two years.

If you are not participating in the Jordan extension, we will take you to the airport in time for an overnight flight home departing at 11PM or later on January 20.  Arrive home with memories that will last a lifetime on January 21.

After spending an extra night in Jerusalem, cross the border into Jordan this morning and make your way to Petra. Along the way we will visit Bethany Beyond the Jordan, the authentic baptismal site on the Jordanian side of the river where it is believed that John the Baptist ministered. Next tour Mount Nebo, where Moses is buried (exact location unknown) and Madaba, where we see a mosaic depicting a map of the Holy Land dating back to the Byzantine era.

Overnight:  Petra Moon Hotel - 2 nights

Full day guided tour of the incredible ancient Nabataean capital city of Petra with time to explore on your own in the afternoon.

Explore the amazing Wadi rum Desert in off-road vehicles and stop to have tea with Bedouins, legendary for their hospitality, in the desert. Then visit Machaerus Fortress, the Herodian fort where John the Baptist was imprisoned and martyred, on our way to Amman..

Overnight:  Amman Centro Hotel - 1 night

Today we tour the ruins of two of the Roman decapolis cities - Jerash and Philadelphia (Amman). Jerash is know as the city of columns and said to be even more impressive than Beit She'an. We will also see the highlights of modern day Amman. Enjoy a traditional farewell dinner together before heading to the airport.

Plan to fly out of Amman late tonight and arrive home January 25.
